Hi Burton, nice interaction I have downloaded it and will take a closer look.
It kind of reminds me of the of the iTunes coverflow…

That is actually something I would love to have as an Engage interaction, an interesting idea perhaps?

    Keep up the good work!

    Katya,

I’m not sure if the Raptivity modules will convert this, however, if the other Engage interactions work then the Carousel Interaction should as well. This interaction was built from the Engage Stair Step template.

I was really looking forward to using this interaction in a community engagement module. Unfortunately, it publishes as a Step interaction. Am I missing something?

    Steve Lamb ,

After Installing the Carousel interaction, you must select the Carousel Interaction from the Community Interactions Tab of Engage.

    siba,

The Carousel interaction is free to use! Articulate is revamping the Community site and will include this when done.

Hello. I am attempting to download the carousel, but am having difficulty. May I send you an email attachment showing the steps that I am taking – in an effort for me to determine what I am doing incorrectly?
Here is what I have done so far:
    1. Clicked on the provided zip file link and saved the file.
    2. Used 7-zip to open the Archive becase the screen flashes uncontrollably if I do not.
    3. I was able to view the Carousel.artpkg file but am not sure what the next steps are. If it would be easier for me to send screen shots, let me know.

    THANKS. ~Annette

    Annette,

After downloading and extracting the contents, if you have Articulate Engage ’09 installed, all you have to do is double-click the Carousel.artpkg file. This will install the Interaction for you.

Greetings. The problem is that when I double click on the Carousel.artpkg file, nothing happens. I have Engage 09 installed; however, the Carousel Interaction does not installed for me. (That’s why I asked if it would be okay for me to send you screen shots of my steps to determine what I am doing wrong.)

    Hi,
I am working with Dave Mozealous to try and “kickstart” some aspects of the Community Interactions.
I wanted to try this one out – here’s my effort: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4349561/FloorCleaningOptions/engage.html

Is there any timeline for this to allow the “transparent” setting within the “white” of the graphics to work? I have got rid of the bowhite using .ppt “Set Transparency Colour” option – but as you can see, the white box rotating looks a bit crappy… :(
I wanted to be able to use this “Out of the Box”, but looks as though cannot at the moment..
    Thanks
    Bruce

PS – the white would be OK if we could alter the background setting from the current gradient to solid white – can this be done?
    Thanks!

      Bruce,

As a matter of fact, there is an option to turn off the gradient. I’ve included several “Easter Eggs”. When selecting Colors –> New Color Scheme –> Tabs –> Background: changing this to Black or zero will turn off the gradient Overlay. Any other color will turn it on. Keep in mind, because transparency is not supported by Engage, you will catch a glimpse of any image using white background when one thumbnail passes in front of another. An example can be seen here:

Please, note the version you have shown in your example is not the most current version. The new version shown in my example above will be updated on my site as soon as this is approved. I don’t want to have multiple versions of this floating around – as to eliminate confusion. I will let everyone know when this is ready.
